Could you please tell me if your silent silicon ID tags will withstand (not rust) salt water and sand at the beach?Julia asked on December 16, 2022
Hi Julia. The metal plate of our silent tags is made from stainless steel, which is a lot less likely to rust than other metals, and so far we haven’t received any negative feedback relating to rust, but it’s not completely immune to rusting. If you want to be completely on the safe side for beach trips I’d recommend looking into tags made of plastic instead of metal as they all carry some risk of rust developing under the right circumstances. If you decide to go ahead with a metal tag, there are some easy DIY metal polishing options that you can look up online if you ever need to remove some rust from a tag :)
