Our silicone straps are all quality tested before we assemble your tag, and all silent pet tag orders include 1 free replacement strap in addition to a fully assembled tag (total parts = 2 silicone straps, 1 metal plate).
Most of our customers never require a replacement silicone strap, but we do recommend adding a couple of them to your order if:
- you go to the dog park a lot,
- you have a multi-dog household,
- you have a puppy, or
- your dog plays with other dogs a lot.
The reason for this is that our silicone straps are very durable, but not indestructible from being scratched by sharp objects, such as dog teeth.
For example, our dog had the same silent tag on his collar for over two years now. However, we do receive emails from customers (especially the ones with puppies!) every now and again to enquire about replacement straps, because the ones they had got chewed off 🙂
