All metals can corrode over time. Especially in high-humid environments, or simply from salty water from fun beach trips.
This is completely normal and due to a chemical reaction that’s cause by air and moisture. It can happen to all metals that aren’t 100% pure gold or silver.
Luckily, it’s easy to bring the metal back to its original state.
All you need is a light metal polish and a polishing cloth. Put some polish on the cloth and rub your tag. Then rinse and rub with a dry cloth.
It’s that easy. Some people use a DIY cleaner, such as ketchup or lemon and salt, which works a treat too.
For the DIY ketchup option, simply apply a thick layer, let your tag soak in it for a few minutes and then rinse with water.
